I’m getting so frustrated HOW are you supposed to paint with a stencil. I took my time, taped it down, used a sponge w hardly any paint on it, dabbed it on, let it dry then layered it and it still came out shitty. I’ve tried like 5 different tutorials 😭

okok best advice i’ve ever gotten is to first paint the base color (in your case the blue) all over the stencil let it dry then paint on your design and nothing will bleed because that base coat is protecting it i do this for everything walls, canvas, wood, even my nails

I’ve tried using a brush, a roller, a sponge, different methods for each. Holding down, taping down everything. I let it dry & take the stencil off and it has bled under the stencil. Literally wtf

you need the right material stencil for the right type of paint and to peel slowly to remove it while it’s wet

You do a layer of the base color first and then do the colored paint. I don’t know why that works but it definitely does!
