Hi girlies. It’s IUD girl again. I’m so scared I’ve been looking things up and watching TikTok’s since I got home at 4…. I’m mostly worried about the meds for now because I think they cause contractions

I’m on my second iud, some advice: tell the doctor that you need anesthesia. Don’t even try without it, it is traumatic. Also ask if you can have somebody in the room with you. I promise even though it might be embarrassing it will be 10000% better to hold the hand of somebody you care about (my mom was only allowed after). Have them explain EVERYTHING AS THEY DO IT. try to relax beforehand, everybody’s pain is different, but please advocate for yourself in that room. You’ve got this.

Ahhhhh I’ve been too scared to tell anyone that I know that I’m getting it done so I’m going alone. They gave me meds to soften my cervix and I took my advil but I’m def gonna ask if they have anything to numb me!!!!

If after the procedure you’re in a lot of pain, please do not hesitate to tell your friends/family. I’d also tell the nurse that you’re anxious about the procedure because maybe the office has something they can do. It’ll be okay, but please let people know if you’re in pain

I had them tell me everything my first time and it def helped. I also just was talking to them about everything that was going on in my life or things I was looking forward to to distract myself

I am and it’s heavier than normal… I feel like I manifested a heavy period idk how but being on your period def helps!
