If he’s a good guy he deserves to feel truly loved for who he is and not what he can do for you tbh. You deserve to have someone you actually like too

This advice so far is whack. Give it a chance for 3-5 dates to see if you’re attracted. You ever been initially attracted to a man to find out he was lights are on no one home? Then get the ick? Yeahhh. Sometimes it works the other way, especially if it’s the first few dates and someone funny as hell is still shy. Don’t COMMIT to someone you don’t find attractive…but give him the chance to show you so you can make an informed decision!

How is the advice whack when it’s how I’d want to be treated. I’d hate going on multiple dates with a guy who’s struggling to find me attractive but feels like they should because I’m a nice person😭 The only time I’d potentially be ok with it is in a friends to lovers scenario because that’s the only way to actually develop a deep emotional bond even if you weren’t initially attracted to them. Also, you’re going to be more critical of them than someone you’re actually into which isn’t fair

I mostly agree with you, have you talked to married people? I always want to slap men who say they weren’t attracted to their wives at first sight. Just keep that to yourself omg. But this is marriage, kids, house, many years later. They were just proven wrong. So many marriages end in divorce. Are you more likely to end because your spouse was spontaneous in immediately liking you for being hot, or for liking you after making a well informed decision? Time will tell.

imma be real i agree with BOTH of y’all’s points, like i’ve been on a date with a guy i wasn’t sure about and then became really attracted to him. but, i also wouldn’t want to be with a guy who doesn’t find me attractive initially… and it goes both ways in a sense, so. i will say, i find the guy somewhat attractive, i would be interested in being intimate with him as such, but after my last couple relationships, im afraid of making a wrong decision before actually scoping things out first
