What if I just tell a prof my father assaulted me, would they report it to the authorities.

Hi girl Ive been through this same situation. I would not recommend telling people like professors about it if you dont know them well (or even friends) because they will likely not believe you bc of how rare it is.

Yeah that’s what I thought, I told my university and they did nothing. This summer I was home and took a course outside my university online and the prof doesn’t understand when I say I’m not in a good circumstance. Like how do I get my point across

You need to speak with a genuinely good psychiatrist or therapist who can advocate for you and contact your school for you.

My parents don’t believe in therapy and on their insurance. My mom doesn’t believe or chooses to pretend it happened. Idk what to do

Your school should have therapy accessible to students free of cost. I get your mom not believing it, mine doesn’t either. You might also be able to make your insurance billing private. Im so sorry this is happening. The most important thing you need to do is stay away from your dad

I live at home and I can’t go back to my out of state university cuz I didn’t finish my summer class and I’m trying to explain to my summer class prof that I have to finish asap to go back cuz the bad situation
