pro sex work stuff is literally propaganda from the patriarchy 😜 like ladies let’s be honest about who this REALLY benefits. what if instead of being forced into a market that benefits men by selling our bodies, we spend time advocating for more equal pay in regular careers that don’t have a male-prescribed expiration date 😇

It’s horrible that anyone should be in the financial position that sex work is the only option to feed themselves, BUT by criminalizing sex work, sex workers are more at risk since they’ll be less likely to feel comfortable getting help if they are a victim of violence. It’s awful for women in already dangerous situations to be in even more danger out of fear of being prosecuted.

I get both sides of the arguments but honestly if men are going to weaponize women's sexuality anyway then those women deserve financial compensation for it. But the thing is men don't want women making money off their sexuality either. It gives power back to them and doesn't feel exploitative enough for them. I have a better solution: mandatory vasectomies and sterilization for men. Snip snip motherfucker ✂️

what the hell are you even talking about. prostitution is one of the oldest jobs in human history and it has yet to really benefit women as a whole. men don’t respect women that are sexually promiscuous as sad as it is. until we truly have equal rights, there isn’t really any empowerment in sex work as done by women. i feel like social media is so easy to manipulate with propaganda about sex work being “empowering” and girls as young as 18 are falling for it. it’s time to wake tf up

I never said sex work was empowering. I meant if we are living in a patriarchal society where women are sexualized as a form of abuse and oppression, the LEAST we can do is monetize it. I still believe in mass male sterilization as an answer but I don’t think YOU’RE ready for that conversation yet

yeah but don’t you see how that PROLONGS the issue? men aren’t inherently the problem. the patriarchy is. sterilizing men just creates more victims and is frankly a much more insane issue than asking people not to make porn

So you’d rather men commit more sexual assaults. Autocratic societies which have banned porn and prostitution also creates a dangerous and hostile environments for everyday women. Realistically your solution might bring nuance in a longer period but not currently when men are already corrupted and harbor violent thoughts towards women.
