I think ppl are taking that statement at face value. it’s not that menstruation as a bodily function stops when you’re in water, it’s that if you’re in a pool then it’s more likely that water pressure will make it harder for blood to come out (not impossible, just not as easily or as much blood)
it’s a myth??? mine actually does stop under water tho, like no blood or anything. when i was younger and first started menstruating, i wasn’t educated on it and heard this so i went swimming while on it, no tampon or anything, then put on a pad on after. i have pcos so my cycles are VERY HEAVY. no one knew, there was no blood or anything. maybe it depends on the person?
