
Implantation bleeding is actually a misnomer. Implantation doesn’t disrupt enough cells to cause bleeding. Instead, it could be luteal phase bleeding or early pregnancy bleeding caused by hormonal changes. Basically, if it’s pregnancy related, your test will be positive. If it’s negative, it’s not pregnancy related and at 21 days after sex, it will stay negative.
Yep! Or luteal phase bleeding that’s given more importance than it deserves. The main reason I make that distinction is because a lot of the time people think “a test wouldn’t be positive right at implantation, so this negative means nothing” or even don’t take a test. But since it’s not actually caused by implantation, a test would be positive if it’s pregnancy related. Pretty much any time you’re experiencing a symptom, you’d be far enough along for a positive test if it’s pregnancy related.
