the freshman 15 will not kill u. it will not hurt u. often times we gain a bit more weight as we enter adulthood. this is NORMAL. make sure ur getting all of ur macros (carbs, proteins, and fats) and vegetables and calcium every day, and try to move ur body on most days. u will be okay. college is abt learning, meeting ppl, and having fun, so prioritize those things
Advice I took myself: 1. Lay off on alcohol. I drank socially and had a couple bad hangovers (as u do freshman yr) but I was not always consuming 2. Walk/bike around campus! Bonus points if ur campus is on a hill. I didn’t realize that walking a couple miles per day would help so much until I stopped going to campus 3. it’s okay and normal in college to have Taco Bell and McDonald’s at 2am but don’t make that a frequent habit 4. I also thought “I don’t work out” but I was playing 20-30 hours of cardio sports per week. Going to college just going to the gym a few times and eating dining hall food 3x a day made my calorie intake insanely higher. Be aware of that. You don’t have to eat all 3 meals if you’re not hungry and you can avoid high calorie black holes. But also, live a little. Enjoy
-eat a salad every 1-2 weeks if you can (or more). Sometimes you just have to get a side of vegetables instead of fries or potatoes or rice. You just have to sometimes, trust me. 5. You don’t have to suffer in the gym if you hate the gym. Workout classes, individual sports (running, skiing, swimming, etc.) or club teams/intramurals
