just saw an eu firefighter talking how it’s a joke to expect firefighters to risk their lives for pets. but i would expect it. i don’t want firefighters to choose the career and then pick and choose which lives are worth saving. my dog is my best friend:(

As far as I know they will save people first; they get all people and then will go after pets if it’s safe enough

which i understand!! but just not saving a pet once all the people are out is crazy to me. this guy was talking about how stupid americans are for expecting firefighters to save pets and how europeans are taught what not to do by learning about american firefighters
