Okay genuinely when people see birthing videos and call that shit beautiful is that a coping mechanism? I just came across a video against my will and was genuinely disgusted and everyone was calling it beautiful like we didn’t watch the same thing😭

Like I get if you think creating life is beautiful or whatever but calling actual birth with all the blood and fluids and pain BEAUTIFUL is just lying to cope with the fear in my honest opinion

I don’t find birth beautiful but I do find intense gore to be quite breathtaking and I know that disgusts many people so like. I can recognize the “different strokes for different folks” of it all

Because it is beautiful. It’s not beautiful like roses and rainbows and well-done makeup. It’s beautiful because it’s so visceral and agonizing and yet this disgusting, messy process yields brand new life that was grown by somebody from nothing! That’s why it’s beautiful
