I started my first job (late in life, long story) so I’m not experienced. Is it a valid thing to be pissed that out of the 100 hours a week the place is open I gave a 6 hour window that I’m not available to work and they scheduled me that time ??

I told them open availability every day. But this ONE day I couldn’t start until 1pm. Also I’m really frustrated because applied for full time and they gave me 19 hours💀 and 6 of those are the time I said I couldn’t even do it

I guess I assume people mean what they say too much. I don’t understand why you ask for availability if you don’t take it into account at all. Just say it doesn’t matter what your availability is?? Idek how to get a second job to make up for the fact they’re scheduling me so few hours because if no job considers your availability how do you keep them from overlapping 😭

Job overlapping is trickyyyy especially since they want ‘loyalty’ too. If you work somewhere petty they’ll cut your hours more if they know you have a second job, but if they’re flexible they’ll work with you. Hopefully at least one of your jobs is better about it, but tbh 15-20 hours is the norm for entry level and you have to be a real doormat to get more
