please weigh in: i requested a day off work for a holiday market 6wk in advance. It was rejected. I applied to and paid for the market. i now have to go to my stupid minimum wage job instead. should I quit? yes I have bills but this is the last straw

if u rely on the income from this job do not quit and think u can find a job just like that. never quit a job before finding a new one if u need the $$. lie and say ur sick if u rly want to go

also I am on light duty so I can do less than half of my job and am effectively useless !! the company loses money having me at work. there’s like a 5% chance I’ll be allowed to do anything useful in the next 3 weeks and even if there was SO WHAT it’s one day it’s not a holiday you are fucking me up so bad

please please please do not do that. the job market is horrible rn and quitting could literally ruin ur life if ur planning on jsut going into debt. there could potentially be many months of unemployment

they change your schedule to make it worse like you have to work 6 days in a row or you work late and then early

i’m not doubting that your job sucks. i’m just saying being homeless in winter or starving might suck worse. start applying for jobs asap, that way if they fuck up ur schedule u hopefully won’t have to stay for long

I already started a few weeks ago as soon as I went on light duty from an overuse injury I tried to avoid by begging my bosses to switch up my job but they didn’t listen

ok. well. debt can also get ur ass in the long run. anything can happen. if you don’t have savings and no job and an emergency happens you could lose everything. but you seem like you really want to quit your job. so just quit your job
