My aunt got one after having her 3rd kid with her (lowkey shitty) husband and I couldn’t have been prouder. I think he was getting her pregnant intentionally after discussing that they didn’t want to have anymore

I love how I get downvoted for talking about an actual negative to having the procedure from personally witnessing it. I didn’t say don’t have one but we can’t downvote bc someone speaks about actual symptoms or conditions you can get from having a major surgery. You can get one and that’s your decision, but just like tying tubes (which I will be doing) you have to be aware of complications that will possibly affect your daily life.

Watching my mom recover from her hysterectomy made me not want to get one. And not many women talk about the possible downsides bc even talking about periods was (and still is) taboo.
