If you’re on birth control cycle tracking is not going to work. A lot of birth control options stop ovulation which is why you can use combined pills in large amounts as makeshift Plan B. And also why you shouldn’t take Plan B frequently because it is like taking a week or more of pills at once

A lot of people think they’re still ovulating so they either freak out about being unprotected and maybe pregnant or they take a Plan B. Now if you’re having sex with random people you should be using a condom but outside of that I’m not sure how people think they’re unprotected

Never take advice from people who you wouldn’t switch places with. I’m married, with a man who has never cheated, has not left me while pregnant, never had to get an STD test. At minimum, you have trust issues and feel the need to be on birth control, worry about your partner cheating, and get STD tested. I think you deserve better than that, but you reap what you sow

They’ve experienced things, good and bad. Yes YOU have a successful marriage but that doesn’t happen to everyone! My concern for getting pregnant is not the commitment of the man but rather the having of the baby. I am uninterested in having a child at the moment. My mother already had a good man at my age but they didn’t have me for another six years. Her not wanting to be pregnant at this age had nothing to do with my dad!

Birth control is a form of family planning? NFP is a form of family planning. You go to the doctor and dentist for check ups even if you’re perfectly healthy so why is STD testing any different??? birth control is preventative. it prevents pregnancy. what is the reason for separating the copper iud from other forms of bc? sti testing is preventing anything u may have gotten from getting worse and making sure ur aware so u don’t give it to others. i have never used or had to use a plan B, but ppl should know how it works and what medications might interact with it. that was literally just one part of the post. u have a weird holier than thou attitude here, idk what ur issue is

I am literally not the pinnacle of success lol. I definitely do not think that, I’ve had so many struggles and failures in life. I’m also lucky I had women who kept it real with me and shared some of these tough truths that did work out well for me. The difference is the abortaficient nature. NFP is 99% effective when used correctly which is why I agree education is so important.

I feel like you don’t know how NFP works? It’s literally designed around cycles changing. You measure your hormones, temp and symptoms daily. Your body will tell you if pregnancy is possible if you test these things daily. It’s only through regular use that one could get 99%

The medical definition of human life is fertilization which is 6+ days before implantation. The medical timeline for pregnancy is actually even earlier, calculated from LMP rather than fertilization which Drs consider 2 weeks in (around ovulation)
