I think they just sort it to make it easier to read the menu. Sometimes I’ll only order desert. Others an app for a main.

That’s how you should do it. Just ignore all the other stuff. Like I’ll order an appetizer as a meal or an entree and that’s it I’m good. Occasionally will get an app to split with the table and everyone gets an entree. Or an entree and desert. That’s ab it.
