But don’t they kick out the males once they are old enough? I thought it was mainly women in the groups except for a few select males and every other male gets driven out once they hit like puberty

Yeah you’re right actually once they’re grown, they leave and go on their own or find a group of other males. While the females stay with their heard forever and generations take over the matriarch role leading their group
