Day9 of leash+carrier training my cat. Since it’s chem day, we didn’t do as much. We did 2 no harness rounds, she did great! Just did her other tricks, and may do more later! Break day for my girl, we’ll be back at it tomorrow 🥰

Day8 of leash+carrier training my cat. Today was a lot. I showed her outside on leash, but she chose not to go today. She was stubborn and didn’t wanna walk at all today, but I managed to get her to do a few on leash rounds. May take some steps back again

When you say two no harness rounds, do you mean she walked around unleashed or she was leashed with a collar instead? I’ve been keeping up with this and was curious lol

No leash, no harness. She’s following verbal cues and motions I make that tells her what I’m wanting. So she has free choice to walk away, but I do have her snacks so she usually choses to follow me. It’s just a way to lock in the walk cues!

That’s amazing!! Do you stay in one area (house/hallway/backyard etc) or do you go outside outside? My Kitty is 14 so I don’t think I could train him anymore, but I’m hoping to get another cat one day (long after he passes)

I’ve been doing it in my living room, doing a very set walk. I’m slowly starting to increase that walk. I’m hoping to bring her to my clinic I work at and walk her around there some soon too
