I’m tired of seeing comments about “doing too much too soon”. Being kind is never a waste. Being a decent person with a heart shouldn’t require a time frame to do something genuine.

I feel like people who think that way also expect something in return every time they do something kind. Maybe we should just be kind for the sake of being kind. If there’s anything to “gain” from it, it should be the peace of mind knowing no one has a reason to talk poorly about you

Exactly! Like for example yesterday I got this guy that I barely know and first time meeting him a sauce that he had never had before that was a mixture of two things he loved. Went out on a whim and decided to buy it and give it to him. He was so excited and I didn’t expect anything back. Seeing someone happy and showing that I listen is what makes me happy as a person. If you want to make someone a cake bc they haven’t had it in years then fucking do it. So tired of hearing that stupid excuse

Yes!! I’m so fortunate to be in a relationship and to have friends who have that same mindset. Like my partner and I will suggest a concert or music fest we know we’d both like, and often times we’re in opposite financial situations, so whoever’s better off in that moment will just buy tickets for both of us simply for the fun of both being able to go. I have so many friends who technically owe me money for tickets and Airbnbs, but I don’t really care since they were able to enjoy it with me

This!! One of my friends that’s in vet school has really been going through it because he’s on the last leg of it and I know he loves angel cake so I surprised him with it one day. We are all in this world together, why not make it easier on each other by being kind??
