“we all get the same degree” but we all have different goals & plans & people need to respect that. not everyone can “Cs get degrees” their way through college.

especially with the current job market, simply having a degree is not enough for a lot of fields.

Agreed. My current employer in my field told me they were extremely impressed with my academic record and the achievements I earned. It shows dedication and commitment and shows that you don’t just bare minimum your way through school.

there is so much unnecessary shaming towards “try hards” … is trying hard really that embarrassing? not to mention people need different grades for different fields. lawyers and doctors need different grades than engineers for example because the fields prioritize different things.

Right! I am in nursing school and if we get a 75 we fail! But my engineering friend needs a 35 to pass lol
