Guys I’ve baked cookies like 3 times but all the times they don’t spread out much and get harder on the outside what am I doing wrong 💔💔💔

It could be so many things, oven to hot, dough to cold when going into the oven, over-baking, old baking powder/soda, no enough sugar or butter, your butter is to cold, there is to much flour

you could probably add more butter or oil, use granulated sugar if you were using brown sugar

Are you using a scope for the flour, cause that tends to pack the flour and we want it light and fluffy

If you just scoop and not sift you can get 30% extra flour and that extra flour will soak up the butter and then the dough isn’t relaxing (spreading out) in the oven
