Bruh I’m so sick and tired of this. I am doing everything to lose weight. Yesterday I walked 17ksteps. Today 12k. I go to the gym on a treadmill and the elliptical. I live on a hilly campus. Why did I weigh 5lbs lighter a couple days ago?

Someone advised me that ur body right now reflects the choices u made 2 weeks ago and idk if that’s true or not but the point I think still stands. It takes time. Your weight is going to fluctuate especially as your body gets used to increased exercise. Stick with it!! It won’t be immediate but you will notice a difference

Sometimes it’s not how much you eat but what you eat? What has your diet consisted of

You’re moving your body, that’s all that matters! Don’t get hung up on the numbers

Have you been eating in a calorie deficit based on your tdee? I’ve been dieting and working out for about a year and didn’t start seeing progress until about a month or two of consistent work

Yeah I’ve been eating in a big calorie deficit. So much so I had to increase it because I thought my body was holding on to weight because I wasn’t eating enough. I was eating like 900 calories

I have been eating egg sandwiches, avocado toast, protein shakes, fruit, and Greek yogurt fruit bowls

Well yeah the recommended calorie deficit is like 500 calories under ur tdee. It’s not safe or healthy to go beyond that without drs orders

If you’re getting 17k steps a day you’re probably going to need minimum 1,800 calories a day even at 4’ 11”. Sounds like you need to see a doctor about that.

The 17k was a one off. I usually get around 12-14. At the bare minimum I get 10k. I make myself walk that much. I just started fasting for Ramadan yesterday and a lot has happened

Alright yea I can’t help you. I don’t think you’re going about this in a healthy way but I can’t stop you. I hope you figure out what works best for you.

I just don’t know what I’m doing that’s unhealthy. I’m genuinely curious. I didn’t want it to seem like I’m fighting. I just want to know what to do

Genuinely if none of this is working, consult a doctor. There’s probably more of a backstory as to why

It’s just that I’ve been obese my entire life. Like I have had the high bmi and my pediatrician has always said like hey u need to lose weight. I have gotten every test in the book. Now it just seems like it’s a me issue. I genuinely worked so hard these past few weeks to not make it a me issue, to eat less and work out. Now I’m at an out of state university and idk what to do. I just wanted to look good for my graduation and finally get healthy
