And yes me and my other coworkers (not interns) took care of the situation, the intern is on probation and they are now on separate projects

Do y’all have a dedicated HR department? If so, please encourage her to report it properly! It can be scary as an intern, but that other intern should not be allowed to continue like this and she deserves to feel safe and protected at work. HR has a legal duty to protect employees from reported sexual harassment, which it sounds like this might be.

There’s no HR department but situations like this are taken very seriously. I didn’t hesitate to discuss with my senior coworker or my boss because I knew the situation would be handled. There’s a zero tolerance policy for sexual assault/harassment. It has also been documented by me, my lead engineer, and my boss. I’ve also been checking in w/ her personally at the end of each day to ensure there’s been no problems, and introduced her to others at the company who typically handle ‘hr tasks’.

She has been made aware that if another instance occurs he will no longer be working there as well. Plus I think it’s nice to note that our boss, his boss, and his boss are all ex military girl dads that are super over protective. It’s a company where I wouldn’t hesitate to go to my boss or anyone above him (they make it a point to get to know you) if something were to occur. Also I asked and she did not mention any sexual harrasment. The inappropriate questions where more about pay and the

GOOD!!!!!! It’s normal to give someone a warning for inappropriate behavior that doesn’t completely totally break laws or something, so it sounds like it’s being handled well. You’re clearly doing something right if she’s comfortable coming to you. Keep it up! We need more “big sisters” in the workplace🫶

Yes! I was just so thankful she trusted me instead of just putting up with it. And the company It’s great! And I’ve personally never felt of putted about not having an hr department because it’s essentially known that it’s common sense your an adult at work act like it or your out of a job. And I’ve personally met all my higher ups and have a close relationship with my coworkers. Who have also been made aware of the situation to watch for any signs. When I first started there was a guy who made

Several comments about me not being qualified. And I didn’t really tell anyone until a few weeks later when he was fired for other reasons. The lead engineer I told ended up telling my boss what had happened and my boss came and personally apologized for his behavior and if anything like that were to occur again he wants me to let him know.
