My parents didn’t give me much info either 1. Find out who your insurance covers 2. Make the appointment (you can state your preference of Dr if you’d like, a lot of practices are mainly women tho) 3. They’re not judging you! You can tell them ur parents didn’t give you much to go off of & in my experience they’re more than happy to educate you on whatever you’re curious about 😊

i think look up gynecologists near you, ask your primary doctor if they have recommendations, ask your friends in the area who they go to

It feels big and scary but I promise it’s easier than it seems! You can Google “gynecologist near me” and call whichever one to ask if they’re in network (always go in network!) on your insurance and if so, book an appointment (wellness, pap, testing, etc). If not, call the next one, repeat until you have an appointment. ZocDoc is also good if there’s enough density in your area. If you’re a student, some schools also have one on campus!
