none of y’all in the comments are getting what OP is saying. she’s not in shock that he’s “doing the bare minimum” she’s feeling weird because it’s not the reaction she’s used to from other people in her life. my mom made me feel the same way OP does when needing help so i get the expectation that someone would be mad. in other words it’s just new to HER personally… doesn’t mean the bf isn’t a green flag and she should be able to talk abt it without feeling ridiculed by weirdo’s like y’all.
