when ive been working since i was 14. Ive spent 40k on college and i have over 50k+ in debt still EVEN THOUGH I WENT TO A CHEAP SCHOOL (my parents make too much to qualify for help but won’t let me claim as independent even though im the one paying). It’s so frustrating to see all these other people have their parents pay or help pay at least a bit. My parents say “we pay ur interest that u will be paying back to us” as their redemption.

I literally work all winter and summer break almost everyday, I had 2 jobs where I was working back to back just to pay for school (and still couldn’t cover it) and then it’s school, and then during the summer now since I walked at graduation, it’s work AND school at the same time. I am working my first real adult life job in a few weeks while I’ll be taking 2 classes. I literally wish I could go on vacation but it’s so expensive and I have to pay off my loans and any interest I owe them left.(3

Not only that, but they have literally been to other countries before on vacation saying “we are too poor to bring you guys” or “when you grow up take your own vacations” I’ve left the country and went to Canada for one day with them when I was like 8. They said we can only stay a day because we are too poor (while they went to another country for a week or two the same year). It’s so frustrating.
