okay please check out a local humane society/animal shelter in your area and see if they do food shares or anything like that. my animal shelter has one and itโs for people who are in a financial struggle.

just double check online about what human food is safe for now and most stores have 50 cent to dollar single serve cans & if you live in a dorm Iโm sure somebody would be willing to share

Anonymousorangepopcornn6w
Thatโs your opinion luv
-6
AnonymousOP6w
Keeping an animal you canโt afford to take care of is animal abuse

Anonymous#16w

if u canโt take care of an animal u shouldnโt have the animal. housing status irrelevant

Aw

Anonymouscookie6w
but is that how u feel about homeless ppl with pets ?
1
Anonymous#56w
If theyโre incapable of getting appropriate food for the animal yes, itโs cruel to keep something inside your house or attached to you if youโre not going to feed it. Shelters exist

honestly yeah like if youโre struggling to properly feed and take care of your pet as well as you should then yes i think they should be surrendered as well

Anonymous#16w
sheโs not saying sheโs not going to feed them she said sheโs still feeding them just not cat food
1
๐ช
Anonymous#56w
sheโs also saying she doesnโt have litter. how are u gonna have a cat and no litter
6
Anonymous#56w
Notice how I said โappropriate foodโ not โwhatever other kinds of human food they already haveโ
Just because some human foods are safe for some animals to eat doesnโt mean theyโre going to provide the correct nutrients the animal needs

Anonymouscookie6w
news paper, paper towels, sand etc

Anonymouswitchy_salem6w
obviously not the best but like meow mix is pretty cheap and is at most grocery stores. fancy feast is wet food and also inexpensive, they usually come in bulk
4
Anonymous#76w
friskies is a good cheap option too, but i prefer fancy feast. it really depends on what you have access to. also OP, at the shelter, we use ripped up newspaper for litter alternatives for cats that have had surgery so the litter doesnโt irritate the stitches.

Thanks 6 & 7. Taking your advices and will do so first thing tomorrow ๐ <3
