That’s so dumb!! Not drinking or smoking or having sex outside of marriage is something everyone should respect someone else doing. Making jokes as friends is one thing but making fun of you for a decision for your religious beliefs and personal preference is so dumb!

are you okay with slavery? do you view homosexuality as an abomination and think unmarried women should marry their rapists? do you believe that women are inherently less spiritually capable than men? do you view genocide as permissible and periods as impure?

because I can pull up bible references for all of the things I listed. genuine love and following the teachings of jesus is popular to the oppressed and downtrodden and unpopular to those upholding oppression. if “the least of these” are not loved and served by your religion, your religion is not following jesus.

“the least of these” in america right now would be immigrants facing the threat (or reality) of detainment camps and deportation as well as trans people (especially children) who are the target of hate crimes and violence and who are losing their protections daily. also women who are unable to access healthcare and all marginalized groups who have lost protections.
