as someone going to school to be a teacher i don’t even wanna teach not just because the kids are bad but they are so bad and say out of pocket things (like kys) and it fucks with your own mental health and well being

i honestly applaud teachers/childcare providers because it is SO HARD! i was a camp cit for a summer a few years ago, and it was so exhausting. kids not listening or respecting me even though i was respectful and understanding to them. made it worse that im fat, so ive always been an easy target. parents didn’t care and said it was my fault they didn’t listen to me bc i was too close to their age. i was 14, they were 9 and under.

Yeah my cousin brought his two kids over to my parents house last weekend and they are six and eight and they were so disrespectful and my cousin and his wife didn’t do anything. They just watched their kids misbehaving. Like we went to the zoo and their son started climbing on the rocks and there was a sign saying not to climb them and even someone working at the zoo told him to get down and his dad just stood there and said nothing when his son didn’t listen

seriously!! the amount of times i’ve been told this summer idc or insane levels of back talk and sex/drug references is crazy. like past the point of pretending to sh08t up with a mechanical pencil. very sad

yeah. i've been called "good girl" by two middle schoolers at my camp, and one kid even went so far as to say a slur to my black coworker. really horrible stuff.
