I feel like you should just ask him lmao. They’re still friends in a group but don’t talk outside of that, the group hung out and they took a photo where everyone had their arms around each other and his hand placement was respectful? Sounds perfectly fine to me as long as he told you she was gonna be there beforehand and wasn’t doing anything else weird at the event
