Sorry I want to compensated for my labor 😭 I’m not just a cashier ringing up items. I’m running in heat, up and down stairs, waiting for your food, battling traffic, trying to follow shitty directions, deal with rude and inconsiderate ppl. If you order a luxury service like door dashing a boba drink in your fancy new build house, you could properly compensate those doing labor for you This is not my profession, this is called a side gig to take care of medical bills
And I pretty much only accept orders where ppl tip except for when DoorDash/UE tries to screw you over and bundles the tippers with the non-tippers. You don’t know until an hour after you drop it off that they didn’t tip so yeah I have every right to be like “wtf” once I realized they live in some fancy house and don’t tip lmao
i’m not being tone deaf lol i’m being realistic. how much sense does it make to sign up for a job that relies on tips, knowing how rough times are for literally everyone and then turn around and complain when you’re not getting any tips. get a different job that doesn’t rely on tips then
I’m allowed to complain when I get screwed over by ppl who clearly can afford to tip 😭 I don’t get mad when ppl order food in poorer neighborhood and don’t tip. But ironically those ppl always tip better than upper middle class ppl. Bc they have working class solidarity and aren’t classist
All I’m saying is I’d like to be properly compensated for my labor? Why is that so controversial to you 😭 Like I said I almost only accept tipped orders. I’m allowed to be annoyed when I’m not properly compensated… ppl are allowed to complain about their work like what is this. Fox News
Girl what 😭 yeah my post was complaining about not being properly compensated as I should. I shouldn’t have to elaborate, it’s a valid position. But then a bunch of classist assholes all jumped on me and told me basically I had it coming bc i “chose” this, I’m gonna elaborate and defend myself?
And this post was complaining about this particular person in this particular circumstance… if I was delivering McDonald’s to a family in a poor neighborhood I would understand… every situation is different. If you have a nice ass house and order shit like boba but don’t tip yeah I’ll judge lmao
So you were paid an hourly wage. I rely almost entirely on tips. More than 2/3 of what I make comes from tips. UE/DD really only covers gas and wear and tear. They’re not my employer.. the customer should compensate those providing labor for them (except for in extenuating circumstances like poverty, disability etc). For no reason?? You think compensated someone providing you a luxury service is for no reason 😭
