Pregnant, woke up w shoulder pain, and started bleeding a LOT. Went to the hospital, sure that I’m dying. 12 hours later, it was just a miscarriage and not ectopic. I just happened to sleep on my shoulder the wrong way 🙃 someone take out my uterus please

Btw, in case anyone was on one of my other posts I’m the one who’s been talking about finding out I’m 5/6 weeks pregnant 2 weeks after I ended a full, regular period. So once again, a reminder to not always trust your period as a pregnancy indicator! If something feels even a little bit off, go with your gut and test. Cryptic pregnancies are unfortunately real :,)

Tbf, compared to an ectopic pregnancy rupturing it was by far the preferable outcome 😭 I actually had a PP appointment set up for tomorrow but I guess I won’t be needing that anymore. But totally fine! My partner stayed with me the whole time and we are relaxing/recovering at home today

I have PCOS so compared to a regular period with that, it wasn’t bad at all. Just freaked myself out with the combo of symptoms since shoulder pain can mean internal bleeding

Absolutely, we cannot have a kid now and I honestly thought I was infertile for the last 5 years. It was mostly just scary in the beginning when everything started and I didn’t know if I was going to be okay or not. Some staff members said I was a hot topic on another floor, which is never good in a hospital. Plus I hadn’t eaten before I went, and since surgery was a possibility the staff wouldn’t let me eat or drink until I was discharged around 4 am.. I got there at 4pm 🫩

Yes!! After all of this, it really makes me wonder if I’ve gone through this before without realizing it. Especially since this miscarriage lined up almost exactly with when my regular period would come now. Like maybe this is just the first time I got a gut feeling and tested? Either way, this is one of the very few things I don’t love about being a woman because what the actual hell :,)

You’re so real 😭 my period is shifting rn to bring every 4 weeks instead of 3 and it’s genuinely had me so stressed!! Also I literally just saw my gyno and told her that my horrible cramps haven’t happened lately (since ofc they stopped right before I saw her) and now they’re back and I have to go through two more months until I see her again🫩

Are you diagnosed with or have you considered the possibility of PCOS? My period also shifted a lot around 20-22 and it’s been shorter but much more predictable since then (23 now). I got on Spironolactone for my hormonal acne a few years ago and based on how it affected all my other symptoms like painful, irregular periods and unpredictable pms symptoms, I can safely assume I have it. It’s helped so much when nothing else ever did.

Full disclosure, I had an ultrasound done years before I got on the medication for pain that I now know was rupturing cysts, but they never found anything. It was actually my dermatologist who suggested I had PCOS and prescribed the spiro, and based on the results of that medication (and the non results of many others) I can assume I have PCOS. I’ve never actually been formally diagnosed by an obgyn

Ohh that’s interesting!! Luckily the cramps only happen on one day out of my cycle and not every cycle. My guess could be I’m prone to cysts or due to the stress I’ve been in lately

Mmmm yeah I think stress would aggravate my cysts before the meds. I also only get cramps one day of my cycle 😂 hopefully whatever it is you can find something that makes you more comfortable and consistent!
