I don’t understand why the city is requiring my consent to inspect my apt if they’re just going to take legal action to do it I don’t consent🤦🏿‍♀️

The consent is a legal thing. Idk if ur in a stand-your-ground state but that’s the biggest reason. Otherwise it’s basically so you have reduced grounds to sue them if they damage your property and/or walk in on you naked

Nothing they do it every year over here. Some cities do it every couple of years. They just do it to check if everything is up to code

This is actually prob such a good idea because if a city inspector stepped within 500 feet of my building they would red tape it immediately

I’m in a loft and I have so many cracks and holes in my ceiling and living room wall😭I don’t think they care until it’s on the brink of collapsing. I just gotta make sure I hide all my Mary Jane evidence and air out the place

Lowk walked out into the lobby the other day and it was raining. Inside. Still unsure about that. But… me and my 3 roommates pay $500 each

If the city is getting involved, it’s not a tenant issue. It’s a landlord issue. Especially if they’re coming out time after time, that landlord is either actively violating health and safety codes or has been known to do it in the past
