I hate when people think the actors have zero creative control over the script, or even worse, when they’re too lazy to even do anything abt it

as an actor it is very frequently the case where a director wants the cheesy writing over whatever creative acting choice you make. idk how into the industry #1 is, but their statement does not and will not always hold true

Its not rage bait, u really think an actor can sit there and singlehandedly change a whole script that an entire writing department wrote? Yes they probably can change some things but at the same time u cant assume thats the case every time

In the case that the “cheesy writing” is intentional and the actors are ok with it then it’s not “bad acting…” Either way OP is wrong

yes ty… that’s exactly what I meant. that people see cheesy writing or dialogue and then they claim the actor is bad at acting bc they are doing what the directors/writers told them to do
