I still can’t wrap my head around this. How is the male loneliness epidemic women’s fault. Why is it our responsibility when the patriarchy is what’s battering you them down? Men need to help other men out and stop blaming us for not dating them.

It’s not even a male loneliness epidemic, it’s just a loneliness epidemic itself. All the studies show pretty much identical growth and rates of loneliness from men to women. I have no idea why people keep whining about men being so lonely when women are suffering the same amount. Like no this isn’t because of anti men propaganda, men aren’t being targeted or abused by women because they are single.

This is hilarious. Do you have the link to the study? The make loneliness epidemic is a thing because men can’t take the word no without losing their mind. Because incel culture has grown rapidly. While some women may be using this to target men, the epidemic is very real.

There are a lot of studies showing the same findings and even some studies showing women experiencing loneliness at higher rates than men. The loneliness epidemic got dramatically worse during the pandemic and the intense isolation which is what caused people to start discussing its impact.

Okay but as I said in the DMs the link you sent me is not correlated to the behaviors men show to be so lonely in the first place. The male loneliness epidemic is not about who is more lonely than who, it’s about women avoiding (some) men because the actions of them.

The male loneliness epidemic is absolutely about the claim that men are more lonely or suffering more from isolation. The link is about my exact claim: it’s a loneliness epidemic that is effecting both men and women equally. You wouldn’t call the rise of the flu a male epidemic when half of the people suffering from it are women.

It’s called the male loneliness epidemic for a reason. The article you sent wasn’t even about that, it was about loneliness rates in general. While it’s a good article it’s not related to the problem.

So the loneliness rates of men and women being consistently equal in the USA have nothing to do with the loneliness epidemic? What do you think is even relevant then?

Why do you think it’s called a male loneliness epidemic? What do you think that definition means?

The male loneliness epidemic isn’t about romantic relationships, it’s about friendships. Men (and women) have less close friends now than in the past which has led to an increase in isolation and loneliness. Dating/incel culture is unrelated and only brought up by people who don’t know what the study is actually about. It affects everyone, but only men are highlighted
