my sisters obgyn was a woman and she said she was exaggerating because her periods aren’t that bad and it’s just something women go thru. mind u my sister wouldn’t be able to leave her bed and constantly throw up because of the pain. some people shouldn’t be in healthcare

Oooooh I love this one. I have been on bc since 13 y/o. At like 19 I took a break over the summer while back home from college bc I ran out of script but I wanted my body to have a break from the hormones (I take pills continuously bc my period is genuinely that bad even with bc aiding me), & my uni has free healthcare so I waited until I got back to school to go get my annual & a new script. The nurse practitioner SLUT SHAMED ME, yelled at me bc I had a bf & still had sex w condoms a few times-

- between getting back to uni & getting into the school clinic. She started guilting me talking about all the “stupid/idiot” girls that have sex without birth control that she has to tell they’re pregnant & how they cry&cry&cry & need abortions & cry abt that too. She said I was letting a man use me without thinking of myself and what he’s doing to me. Insinuated he probably cheats on me. I was FURIOUS cause I was literally there to get back on the pill & she’s straight up CRAZY in my face

To add onto my comment the Dr I was seeing literally gave me folic acid (it increases your chances of getting pregnant) she kept telling me it would help with my hair and nails. I literally have so much hair that I get migraines from it being down, and I have super long natural nails :/

It’s definitely something that can be reported. I’ve worked healthcare for 2 years. The yelling, scare tactics, and blatant unprofessionalism along with so many other things will get her talked to, either fired or loss of her license
