Unfortunately lower income people get pregnant at higher rates bc of lack of access to education, resources, and healthcare. It’s not a personal shortcoming, the system fails them

This girl I used to be friends with has been homeless for years with her boyfriend. they live out of a car. Last week they posted asking for a place to stay. This week they’re posting a pregnancy announcement at 20 weeks??? Like wym you’re pregnant but you can’t even take it home?

people need to stop being scared they’re pregnant and ask how it could possibly happen but then proceed to brag about not using a condom

she’s right though. most low income people aren’t as well educated as those who are higher income. just because something is common sense to you doesn’t mean it will be for someone who is poor.

oh no i’m not doubting that at all, it’s just not a class-specific issue. it does tend to impact lower income people due to systemic issues but it is also an issue for other populations too

Of course it’s not an issue that only impacts lower income people but your post is literally about someone who is homeless. So it seems important to consider the systemic issues instead of just attacking their character
