Also, they check your position with your previous employer but they don’t check your reference’s position. It’s not a good idea to lie on your job application, so don’t tell them that your cashier bestie was a manager. But if they call her and she says that she was a manager then that’s something you have no control over 🙂‍↕️

Some people are rlly hardcore and just fully lie and pretend that their friends/families worked at their previous jobs, which does still work because they rlly aren’t checking your references’ backgrounds, but I wouldn’t recommend it bcos a lot of companies will fire you for lying on your resume if they ever find out, regardless of why you lied or how good of a worker you are
