we were planning our wedding and i had started putting money back and saving for said wedding. come to find out when i texted this girl she sends me the ss of the album of rings i had picked out, my top venues, my color scheme and everything. he even went as far as sending her the rent houses i had sent to him as prospects bc i had planned on moving closer to him at the beginning of the year saying they could start their family there.

he even sent her $400 on her birthday last month, but when it came to my birthday last october (my 21st which is supposed to be a huge one) he put a $50 cap on my birthday dinner and even then he had to get his mom to send him the money bc he blew his entire months worth of checks on beer, nicotine, and whatever gaming stuff he bought. that day, i took myself shopping, bought my own cake and lit my own candles bc as soon as we got home he was glued back to his games.

his mom and stepdad even offered to pay him to help with stuff around their place bc they knew how all out i went for him bc i wanted him to feel like he was loved and appreciated. i saved for months to be able to afford his birthday i even paid for his friends to go with us so bc i knew he’d have so much fun with them coming with us. i took him out and he got whatever he wanted on top of what i got him for his birthday and we all went to top golf that night (definitely not cheap lol)

we never did anything special for my birthdays the whole time we were together and i know that sounds selfish but the more i look back the more i realized how much he was using me and i think thats what hurts the most
