What wasn’t working about the method you tried before?

I have endometriosis so maybe that’s why but all my birth control did was delay my periods (which was good) but it never actually helped with my periods when i did get them and lowkey worsened them i think

You’re definitely not broken. Endometriosis is best treated by progestin-only birth control, as opposed to combo (progestin + estrogen), since estrogen feeds endometrial growth. They can also enable you to skip periods entirely. A hormonal IUD could be a good bet; they use levonorgestrel, same as your pill had, just a lower dose and no estrogen. There’s also the implant, a number of mini pills, or the shot (last resort). Did you have any side effects, or it just didn’t work as intended?

i was sick constantly - like i was on it for a year i think? and i never quite came out of the “morning sickness” / headaches. which every time i brought it up to my OB, she just kept saying to stay on it

Usually that’s the estrogen, so that’s another reason to try progestin-only. And maybe switch OBs bc that’s a big yikes!!
