okay. so. the line about the neighborhood looking like him is quite literally about having a bunch of kids with his features running around. opalite being a manmade stone is literally the point of the song. and if you want to argue that the extremely common metaphor of “dark bad light good” is a racist dogwhistle i guess thats your right but it’s a pretty huge stretch.
