i think they’re a lot less easy to control too and i think some people get pets to feel a sense of control but that’s not a conversation most people are ready for

exactly bro 🫪🙏🙏🙏 realest shit ive ever read and ive honestly always felt that way about ppl that get dogs tbh cause they're so much easier to insentivise and train to act a certain way 🫪🤌🤌 but some other animals like cats or birds and shit you genuinely have to understand their behavior and personality ✋🫪 and honestly some ppl even force dogs to be a certain way when that dog breed historically isnt wired to act that way too

What’s funny is that if you do respect their boundaries, you can “control” them more easily by way of picking them up like a baby every now and then. I let my cats approach me 95% of the time, so they tolerate the other 5% when I’m smothering them in kisses. My one cat even loves belly rubs and will come when called. I actually used to hate cats bc my friends in middle school did not respect their cats’ boundaries and those cats were the devil incarnate bc of it
