It could just be irritation since you’re not used to it. Ask him to wear a beard balm or oil to soften it up. Your skin should get used to it eventually tho but it’ll suck until then. Happened when I first started dating my man

First, I would check to see what products he uses to wash his beard. It could be a reaction to those. Second, I would see if your facial products don’t work with his for whatever reason and see if one of you can find something similar that won’t cause either of you to break out.
