What do old people have against people being single and living their best life. Like why am I automatically miserable if I don’t have a kid and am taking care of a man

I feel like only the people who are low key regretful that they made that choice for themselves care. My mother was actually happy to be a mom/wife and has never cared when someone said they don’t want those things

I’m kinda realizing this too. My partner’s mom REALLY wants us to have kids, but she’s toned it down since we’ve shot it down every time over so many years. My mom asked once if we wanted kids someday, we both said no, and she never asked again.

You’re so right cause it was always the women I knew complained about their kids and husbands who acted that way but then tried convincing me to get married and have a family or I wasn’t a proper woman. I just never saw the appeal since I’d see them the only ones cooking and cleaning
