I stg every time I say this people go “oh well if a dog smells it’s just not well cared for” my brother in Christ I have met the most well cared for dogs on the planet and I can STILL smell it 😭

Sometimes I think I rly want a pet, but then i start to think about how dirty they are and the money it would take to keep care of it overtime

Maybe it’s just me but most indoor dogs don’t have a distinct smell, besides their breath but that’s only if they’re super up close to my face or licking me. Also the smaller the dog, the less it smells. Some people are hyper sensitive to smells though. Outdoor dogs however always smell horrendous :,)

Ngl the only person I’ve ever met whose dogs didn’t stink at all was a veterinarian (Dr. Sam Varon, he’s a well known vet in sac), I guess it makes sense though given his profession

my dog has an open tumor so he cant help it. Thats why he wears diapers and gets wiped down regularly.
