What I mean, is limiting it as much as possible. I usually don’t use google so much. When I do I go on saved tabs to use my laptop. I stopped using Duolingo and other companies that switched to mainly AI

I don’t necessarily think that it’s hate for ai, but more so using it to do things that humans are typically doing. It’s genuinely good for the stakeholders in a company because it means cutting labor costs, but at what cost is the real question.

but i mean nobody wants to live just to work anyway.. so wouldn’t ai taking all our jobs technically be a good thing so we can live the way we’re actually supposed to be.. instead of working our lives away.? at least that’s how i see it

but there’s also so many other things that humans consume / rely on on a daily basis that also adds onto climate issues. ai isn’t even our biggest contributor to global warming

that doesn’t mean we should add another huge drain on our environmental resources and atp with the jobs AI is taking there is nowhere for those workers to go and we don’t have the social programs for them to just not work for the rest of their lives and say yayyy i’m done all bc of AI

I mean it’s possible but we’re literally killing the planet n watching it die for profit, so I can see businesses continuing to not give a fuck abt how their actions affect ppl since they clearly do not care abt the effects of anything as long as it increases profit margins. Even when ppl boycott in mass companies barely ever apologize or stop doing the shit they’re doing to piss ppl off

but ai ISNT taking our jobs to give us better lives. it’s not giving that value back to the people - it’s all going straight to the ceos and billionaires. And besides, ai hasn’t actually replaced anything but creative endeavors and low level jobs so far. All it means is that jobs are harder to find, and the products become worse.
