As a camp counselor, you could introduce tie dye to them (out doors of course), one of my favorite activities is sponge wars, where it is basically just throwing wet sponges outside (just make sure they are small, not big ones), you can get toy dinosaurs and hide them outside (or indoors) and they can do a dinosaur hunt

Crafts would be a great idea! Maybe baking a cake or cookie mix? Or something easy like a movie night. Board games is something the kids I babysit always wanna play with me. Sometimes they build pillow forts too or want me to read to them.

No they need supervision. Especially if there is no lifeguard. I’ve taught swim for years. I’ve seen and heard horror stories.

Why are you being so rude? I’m so sorry my education and experience offends you. And no, I was a phenomenal swimmer as a kid. I swam for years on two different swim teams 😁

5 and 7 are far too young to be unsupervised while swimming anywhere. That’s straight up irresponsible. If either child gets hurt, legally that is on YOU!
