i landed on a tiktok w men saying they can’t approach girls/ask them out on dates anymore because the girls will say it’s SA. quick question, what are the exact words you’re saying to these women and what tone are you using? how do you handle the answer?

I am noticing that men are not approaching as much as they used to. Probably a good solution is that men and women should approach each other at similar rates. The idea that men approach and women accept/reject is outdated. We don’t need to follow dating scripts from the 1950s anymore. If you like a guy, tell him. Don’t wait for him to approach first

I’ve literally only ever been approached by a guy once in my life and he was older. Maybe stop lying about SA/SH and guys will flirt with us again. My older sister literally got catcalled when she was in college and I can’t even get a guy to approach when I wink at him. The world sucks now because of that shit

and ur EXACTLY what i’m referring to. “stop lying about sa and guys will flirt with us again”- have you ever considered the fact that you’re an idiot which is why you don’t get approached?

your sister getting catcalled is not some great thing to look up to either. sexual harassment is nothing to be jealous of

This is a very internalized misogynistic take you need to reflect on, which is fully okay because I’ve been there too! If it feels any better got actually hit on for the first time in my life and it was not fun and I wouldn’t recommend.

🤦‍♀️ saying that it’s her fault and she’s an idiot for not being approached is not making you look any better… But seriously the solution is we need to just flip the script. It’s 2026. We don’t need to wait for men to go first especially if they like you but won’t do it because they’re afraid to. Just go up to them and approach them instead

How the hell is you telling them that supposed to make them feel better? Especially when you say you felt that way too until someone hit on you? This is a laughably bad response

That’s not when I noticed, I realized this was misogynistic around 15/16, but I’m letting them know catcalling/harassed is horrible. I’m also pointing out that it’s internalized misogyny because I didn’t realize it until I saw someone explain that’s what it was, and after serious and very teenage angst filled reflection, I realized it was true. It helped me get better. And I hope it helps them.

Also it’s very very dangerous to think girls are lying about sexual assault or harassment. I promise you there’s a very small minority of women who do, and a lot of statistics that show the rates of false accusations also include women who rescinded their accusations, usually after severe backlash, which does not mean what happened was fabricated.

so i said she was an idiot for creating a false scenario where women are the blame for men not liking her. like how stupid do you have to be to think since you’re not getting any play it’s because women are all of the sudden accusing any and every guy of assault/harassment.

literally idk why they’re ignoring this. every woman i have ever talked to has had a story about a weird and creepy guy. false accusations are bad but even literal convictions don’t get taken seriously

I know! And like I’ve seen so many people throw around statistics without actually checking the information in the methods, like when, weighted or non weighed, age rage, where, what’s included under each category, etc!
