I don’t think the deaths in Texas today were due to defunding the NWS. Proposed cuts haven’t actually gone into effect

It’s not just the cuts, there’s certain data sets that used to be public and was used to predict certain weather events that they’ve now made not publicly available anymore because it was also used to study climate change
