It almost always happens whenever it’s a case that appears to be man vs woman in media but I’m so sick of google “lawyers” who’ve never even spoken to a real lawyer thinking they actually understand law and trials 😭

I keep seeing people not realize what an insanity defense is, what happens after that, reasonable doubt, how prosecution and defense work, etc but are giving such confident opinions on trials, like bro you don’t even know what you’re talking about

Whenever a case gets a lot of media attention and it appears to be “man vs woman” (people let their misogyny slip into their opinions simply because of the gender of the people involved) a lot of people feel the need to give opinions on and it and most of their opinions are from google and not actual lawyers or studying law, leading their opinions to come off as extremely ignorant considering when questioned about basic aspects of a trial they can’t give an accurate answer, aka talking about

something confidently without fully understanding what they’re talking about. The misogyny aspect is that a lot of people seem to loose their sense of reason if they believe a woman is in the wrong in a case against a man even if the evidence points otherwise
