as much as I want to agree with you, they had a pool net, and they were in the process of beginning to build a fence around it. he was also in swimming lessons. tragedy looks preventable until it happens to you or your family or someone you know. emilie and brady are amazing parents.
you cant agree we need to protect kids? children should never be around an unsupervised and unprotected body of water. a pool net is for frogs and birds, not children. they’re responsible for his death by negligence. building a fence means nothing if its not done. that’s why they’re suing to keep the records private. It was negligent homicide. My heart breaks for that kid
i agree that proper precautions needed to be taken, however you don’t know that he was unsupervised. they have a newborn as well. keep that in mind. none of us know what actually happened and i’m not even going to speculate. it’s a tragic accident. i would be careful with the word negligence, because that kid was so very obviously loved and cared for. they were in the process of building a fence. they were very clearly doing that for safety reasons. please do not blame this on the parents.
tragedy happens in SECONDS and that goes with any sort of accident. choking, drowning, slips, falls, vehicle accidents, poisoning, etc. the last thing this family needs is for people to say this is all their fault. these things happen. they do. and it’s horrible but it’s clearly not intentional.
theres no way a child drowns *not* unsupervised. Of course he was unsupervised. Having a newborn means you need to be even more vigilant! Negligence can affect any child, even a loved one. Doesn’t mean they weren’t negligent. I absolutely blame the parents. They failed him with negligence. I feel horrible for everyone, but it was absolutely the fault of the caregivers.
